Available in five fragrances representing the elements in nature: Earth, Fire, Wood, Metal, and Water. Each scent is inspired by the quotations of benefits listed in the \"Ten Virtues of Koh,\" an ancient Chinese verse that was introduced to Japan by Ikkyu Sojun, a Zen master of the 16th century. The incense sticks come beautifully boxed with a metal incense holder, making them perfect for gifting. The extra thick incense also pairs beautifully with our Large Brass Incense Holder, sold separately.
Tetsukon is inspired by the Water element. The bright and citrusy scent of bergamot shifts to that of dainty violet, followed by the cedarwood tone that is layered with the valiant tone of agarwood.
Kiyobi is inspired by the Fire element. The fragrance starts with the radiant purity of hinoki, then releases the sweetness of sandalwood and agarwood. It is gentle and cool as it fades.
Suou is inspired by the Wood element. Enjoy how the interwoven floral fragrance shifts from muguet to moss, then to the complex yet sweet amber, ending with sandalwood.
Sekishin is inspired by the Metal element. The bright note of pink pepper shifts to a green note of everlasting and ciste. Then agarwood emerges and leaves a powerful afternote.
Nukubai is inspired by the Earth element. The fragrance wraps you with warmth as it spreads a sweet scent of vanilla, tobacco, and patchouli. It also hints a little smokiness as it moves on to the deep and refined scent of sandalwood.
